Shara was named one of Forbes’ “30 under 30” leaders in Tech, Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People in Business 2012,” Fortune’s “7 Gen-Y Employment Champions,” and CEO.com’s “14 Most Creative CEOs.” She is a contributing writer for The Huffington Post and LinkedIn’s Influencer Program.
With a passion for Film and Television, Shara began as an intern for mega producers Scott Rudin (THE SOCIAL NETWORK), Dan Jinks & Bruce Cohen (AMERICAN BEAUTY) and Kevin Bright (FRIENDS). She went on to quickly climb the ranks in the film business where she grew to Vice President status and paved innovation at The Mark Gordon Company (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Speed, Saving Private Ryan, 2012), where she created a new media department that leverages technology, the social dynamics of the web and the company’s expertise in storytelling to develop new properties with cross platform capabilities. Shara has developed feature films with Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Dimension and Paramount.
Shara holds a B.A. in TV Development & Production and a B.S. in Marketing Communication from Emerson College. She has completed advanced programs in Animation, Graphic Design and Creative Writing. Shara is also the founder of Script It, one of Los Angeles’ largest screenwriting organizations designed for work shopping and developing screenplays. She is a member of the Young Entrepreneur Council and an active speaker in the film and digital communities.
