The Pumpkin Pie Double-Header Part 2: The Smoothie

[editor’s note: with Thanksgiving just around the corner, we’re giving you a double whammy of healthy pumpkin pie recipes for your holiday weekend! Click here for Part 1: Overnight Oats]

Enjoy pumpkin pie this year without having to unbutton your jeans! This smoothie is packed with omega-3’s, antioxidants, and protein… no guilt here.

In a high-speed blender, combine:

  • 1 cup almond or hemp milk
  • 1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • pinch of salt (brings out the flavor!)
  • cinnamon (for garnish)
  • ice as needed
