Whether it’s 5 pounds or 100 pounds, you will get results and here’s why:

  1. They take the guesswork out of calorie counting. Most weight loss apps have a huge library filled with thousands of food items and their caloric intake. Chances are if you’re eating it, it’s in there. You won’t be guessing on the perceived number of calories in your coffee creamer, breakfast frittata, or double chocolate brownie (whoops!). Just enter the item you’re eating, and select it from the calorie library.
  2. Weight loss apps ask you your weight, as well as your goal weight. They will give you a timeline and amount of calories per day you should eat to get to your goal. Stick to the plan and you’ll be successful!
  3. They let you connect to your friends and social networks. Chances are, you aren’t the only one of your friends wanting to stay healthy. Have your closest girlfriend download the same app, track your goals, and keep each other accountable.
