Drink of the Week: The Mexican Firing Squad

La-Cucaracha_13_19
This cocktail was originally created at a bar in Mexico City in 1937 and is just the perfect thing to get the party started. It’s a little sweet, easy-to-drink and filled with tequila: aka, a drunken dance party in a glass.Enjoy a couple of these before you rock out, loudly, and without abandon, to some dance-worthy pop music.

Ingredients:
  • 1oz fresh lime juice
  • 3/4oz simple syrup
  • 2oz Tequila blanco
Directions:
  1. Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour into a tall glass over ice.
  2. Top with soda water and a few heavy dashes of angostura bitters
